Institute for Outdoor Learning
Outdoor Learning involves a purposeful and planned experience in the outdoors led by an instructor, teacher or leader for academic, social, personal or professional development.  Outdoor Learning helps people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to reflect and learn about themselves, each other and the environment, and improve their wellbeing and mental health.
The Institute for Outdoor Learning is the professional body for organisations and individuals who use the outdoors to make a difference for others. We are driven by a vision of Outdoor Learning as a highly valued form of development, education and employment in UK society. Your support will enable IOL to better influence policy, raise standards and inspire more people to get out, be active and explore the outdoors.
