Whether you are at sea, on the beach or along the cliffs, we want you to be as safe as possible; the MCA works with its partner organisations to provide advice and guidance so that you can prepare and take precautions before having fun around our amazing coast.
If the worst happens, our 24-hour search and rescue service is there for you 365 days a year through Her Majesty’s Coastguard. Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard in an emergency on the coast.
The Lake District National Park Authority looks after England’s largest national park, encouraging people to enjoy and understand its beauty, whilst championing the local economy to support those who live and work here.
Our staff include rangers and field workers, planners, ecologists, and a commercial team responsible for sites including car parks, toilets, and visitor centres.
Natural Resources Wales is the largest Welsh Government Sponsored Body – employing 1,900 staff across Wales with a budget of £180 million. We were formed in April 2013, largely taking over the functions of the Countryside Council for Wales, Forestry Commission Wales and the Environment Agency in Wales, as well as certain Welsh Government functions.
